The power of vinegar

The power of vinegar

Did you know that vinegar is one of the greatest natural cleaning solutions? This multipurpose cleaner is completely non-toxic and will not harm your family or pets whatsoever – plus it’s cheaper than conventional cleaners like Windex and OxiClean!

All you need to do is mix an equal amount of water and apply it to the surface you wish to clean. Use it in your kitchen to clean draws, sinks, cabinets, countertops or appliances.

For stubborn stains, just get some baking soda and mix it with a little bit of water. This is a very inexpensive natural cleaning solution that can be used in almost any situation to clean and deodorize.

For stubborn bathroom stains, get a simple lemon, cut it in half and mix it with baking soda. For a natural cleaning solution for furniture, mix the lemon with olive oil.

Remember that chemicals can cause damage to the environment when washed down into our rivers and waterways. By using natural products, like vinegar, you will not only save money but you will help the environment as well.

Planning a "green" wedding?

#1 Green Wedding Site Launches Eco-Friendly and Budget Chic Wedding Stationery

HERNDON, Va. and WINNIPEG, Manitoba, May 13 /PRNewswire/ — WedVert, the original and leading green wedding media company, announced the upcoming release of a full line of co-branded stationery products with eco-designer and green expert Yoko Chapman. The first green and carbon-neutral* wedding stationery line — VERT(TM) Yoko Chapman — will be unveiled at the National Stationery Show May 17 (booth #2347) followed by a Go Green, Save Green(R) Event on May 19 with special guest Preston Bailey. Each piece from the VERT stationery line has been thoughtfully designed to minimize paper consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, support renewable energy projects and reduce waste — all while delivering stylish designs at affordable prices; that’s the Go Green, Save Green promise.

Eco-Friendly Meets Budget Chic

Inspired by vintage finds and grandma’s jewelry, Nostalgia, Chapman’s first collection for VERT, features fresh, modern designs that flirt with some of our favorite bygone eras — from the high style and Hollywood glamour of the ’30s to the chic bohemian looks of the ’70s. Designed to be eco-chic and budget-friendly, the line offers many cost-saving perks:

Free Wedding Website. VERT Yoko Chapman and WedShare.com have partnered to offer complimentary wedding websites. Each design coordinates with a VERT invitation group, making it an easy, green (and free!) way for brides and grooms to share their wedding details with their friends and family.**

Postcards or No Cards. To reduce paper (and postage), VERT invitations offer postcards for Thank You’s, Reply Cards and Save-the-Dates. Or further reduce your carbon-footprint (and your invitation budget) by choosing a paperless online option with WedShare.com.

DIY Templates and Tutorials. DIY projects are a great way to go green — and can save you money, too. The VERT line offers free DIY templates so brides (and grooms) can create their own eco-friendly favors, boxes and more.

VERT Yoko Chapman is available at http://www.wedvert.com and at select retailers. The new stationery products further extend WedVert’s new green wedding collection, VERT(TM), which includes VERT Gardenia Organic, the first eco-friendly wedding floral collection and VERT Jessica Iverson, an eco-couture wedding gown collection.
