Jessica Simpson has made her long-awaited return to reality television in her new show, The Price of Beauty. After being scrutinized for weight gain by tabloids last year, Simpson decided to embark on a journey around the world with her two best friends, CaCee Cobb and Ken Paves, to see what makes a woman beautiful in different cultures and to find beauty for herself.
She may have been all about boots as Daisy Duke 2.0 in the remake of The Dukes of Hazzard, but Jessica Simpson certainly knows her way around a platform shoe, too. Her Jessica Simpson Collection shoe line has been popular since it launched in 2006, but none of her shoes have caused the level of buzz that the cracked metallic “Dany” platform sandal has. Fashion bloggers and followers alike are salivating, and Zappos.com has already sold out of this hot item.
Jessica Simpson is on this month’s cover of Vanity Fair. The question on everyone’s mind is…How did Simpson, who has no new show, film or bombshell to drop, land one of the most prestigious magazine covers on newsstands?
“She’s at a crossroads in her career,” said Beth Kseniak, Vanity Fair’s director of public relations. “Where she’s headed — or not — says a lot about the nature of celebrity in America. And she looks pretty decent in a swimsuit, contrary to recent reports.”
What do you think of Jessica’s new spread?
